Others actually bought it with the doo doo on it!
I used it last WE with NAFCA, and No Doo Doo on the new one!
All I can say is that Wally World had no problems exchanging it for a DOO DOO free model! lol.
I got a new Wally World stainless grill for Dad's Day and used it twice, all the spot welds holding one leg on broke! I returned it to the Sand Diego WM, manager reluctantly gave me my money back ( they wanted me to exchange it for another one of the same china mart models). We purchased a new Charm-glow at Tony Stewart's Store in Long Beach, WoW what a difference in quality, I guess it makes a difference in what province of China these things are made in! lol
Can't wait to see what the RV's from China are like, won't take too much to build them better than those from Indiana.

I just got back from New Hampshire with my new to me sled trailer! Yippee!:B

I'm putting in for a PD for Friday if & when it's approved I plan on going up on Thursday Night, so I can help with set up, cooking and whatever else needs to get done.
I have a small Charmglow gas grill, folding table and a EZ Up, ( one without bird doo) that I'm more than happy to provide! lol So I think we can cover all the bases.

Here's another thought, not to take away from Gerry's fabulous fry fest, and to try to keep things simple, what if everyone brings their own burgers/dogs and we can cook them up on the grill as people get there?Sounds fine to me!

Good Morning All!
Been quiet around here!
Everybody must be busy getting kids back to school or getting ready for the upcoming Labor Day Weekend.
Been kinda hectic here as well, installed another plow over the weekend, grabbed three more, chasing down parts, Looking at another sled trailer, just a little too much, I guess that's the price I must pay for playing all summer, lol.
We were hoping to join Steve and Liz at the Keene Pumpkin Festival, but something came up with the kids schedule so it looks like we're going to go camping somewhere the weekend after DB, still thinking southern Vermont.
Well if I don't get back here before Friday I hope everyone has a nice LD weekend!

Just a reminder, please let me know what you can bring for the pot luck dinner. We could use some desserts and more dishes. Also, if someone could bring potato or pasta salad and chips for our Fri. night cookout, that would be great. Napkins too!

You'll fit in just fine, I have a 13 y/o daughter and an 11 y/o son, and there will be plenty of other kids there, it's just a fun place for the kids and grown up's alike.

Proposed IH Rally, Bruce T will more than likely be joining me, looks like it's going to be another Guy's weekend for us, Toni has her annual dance recital the last we in May, ( can't you see me crying :B). Green with Envy said no for the same reason her DD dances at the same studio. So looks like 15 strong responses, as Larry the Cable Guy would say " Let's Git er Dun! ", lol.
Anyone else interested in Oct 24&25, ? As soon as I hear back from Dave ( Dave? Dave? Dave?, "Dave's not here man," lol ok Mikey , can you tell me what album that liric is from? lol) I'll be booking my site.

If a RV manufacturer has a posted MSRP ( yes some manufacturers do) you can figure that there was a 35%-42% mark up for the original dealer when it was sold new. So when "New" the dealer recieved this unit from the manufacturer he paid between $78K- $88k and typically would mark it up to meet is profit & overhead margins.
With all that said, it sounds like your dealing with a typicall salesman who's telling you anything to make you believe the price he's asking is what the MH is worth. He's on a fishing expedition and don't go for his trowling tactics!
I'd look up the actual loan value on the MH , with the major options and see what the number is, I bet that it is no where near what he's looking for. Remember its only worth what the market will bear and in today's market seems to be what people can borrow on a given unit and nothing more, especially whereas banks are so upside down in their own holdings.
As far as NADA values and how they are determined, it's mostly done through dealer reporting. Any good dealer will only report units that sold on the high end, so when there are less reports and with only high resale prices the values are definately skeewed in the upward directions. These reports are voulintary and it's in the large dealerships best interest to report in this manner because typically the are done on a regional basis then averaged.
Another approach is to do a little math and see what the pay-off would have been based on MSRP less 35%,( 25% discount+ 10% original down payment) less a amorotized payment would be X the number of months old it is, that will get you close to what the dealer has into it, unless they rolled some of the pay-off into the financing of a new MH.
IMHO if its a gas job it's probably worth in the neighborhood of $65K - S72K if the original MSRP was $135K, and you can certainly buy a new gas job maybe not as fancy for that and thats another leverage point you can consider when negotiating.
If it's a diesel you can try to use the same logic but I believe an entry level diesel's are still bringing near the $100K new.

After reading Gerry's post and thinking about Steve's earlier post I looked at the Calendar. Coulumbus day WE is sorta early with two more weekends following prior to Halloween, is anyone planning on camping after Columbus Day?
I'm wanting to maybe get one or two more trips in before winterizing and was thinking about a trip to southern Vermont, trying to make up for missed trips in New England this summer.

What makes an "expert" on this forum? Generally it is not educational or vocational credentials. It's been my observation that an "expert" is someone who has more than 1 year as an RVer, or maybe that "expert" simply has a HIGH POST COUNT.
But would I be the only person in the RV 101 course?
Ok I have a high post count I've been RVing since 1963, I've owned six travel trailers,two TC and a p-up, worked at a RV dealership in both sales and service, have a ASE Master Certified Tech Cert, AWS Certified Welder, posses at M.ed, and a Vocational Educator's certification, and I would certainly consider taking a RV 101 course. My reason is everyday I visit this site and learn something new! You can always learn something from someone who shares an experience that you never experienced yourself. So bring on RV 101!
